Even with last week’s “The Stowaway” reaching all-time ratings lows, may it never be said that Fringe is afraid to take on a risky experiment or two.

Despite the series still not being officially renewed for a fourth season, TVLine reports that Fringe has continued with the casting notice posted last week by tapping Boardwalk Empire actress Emily Meade for the newest member of the team.

Meade will play an as-yet-unnamed FBI agent, “a wide-eyed and eager rookie who’s ready to face all of the challenges in front of her.”  The character will debut in the rather forbodingly titled third season finale, “The Day We Died,” and will potentially recurr in the fourth season.

Despite last week’s numbers, Fringe has kept fairly consistent ratings since its well-publicized move to the infamous “Friday Night Death Slot,” owing largely in part to its dedicated fanbase and   extensive promotion aimed at embracing the notoriously difficult timeslot.

No official word on Fringe‘s cancellation or renewal has emerged, despite unfounded rumors toward the former.

After weeks of tests, Rogers was at last administered the Super-Solider Serum and bombarded by ‘vita-rays.’ Steve Rogers emerged from the treatment with a body as perfect as a body can be and still be human. Rogers was then put through an intensive physical and tactical training program. Three months later, he was given his first assignment as Captain America. Armed with his indestructible shield and battle savvy, Captain America has continued his war against evil both as a sentinel of liberty and as leader of the Avengers.

When we first heard that amazing songstress Adele would be taking on Cheryl Cole’s Promise This during her Radio 1 Live Lounge session this week, we were a bit nonplussed. The singer/songwriter has much more musical kudos than the X Factor judge and we thought she’d want to out her twist on something a little more credible. However, then we heard her sing. The chanteuse almost made the track into a different song and brought a whole new feeling and vibe to what used to be an upbeat dance type number.

On why she decided to pay tribute to Cheryl Cole, Adele admitted that she has a deep love for the former Girls Aloud star. She said:

“I love her. She’s my favourite person ever. I got to meet her at the Royal Variety and Dappy from N-Dubz was next to her. It was amazing, like living a dream.”

Of her co-star in the TV ads, 29-year-old Portman cracked: “I felt like a big old cougar. He’s, like, 20.” The TV ad also features a shot of a white swan — “It’s subliminal advertising for my film,” quipped Portman, referring to her latest role in “Black Swan.”
